Woman's Missionary Union Tues-

"Spiritual Assets" was presented
Ui a devotional given by Mrs T. J.
Fouts. and a short talk given by
Mrs. R. E. Cook was titled, "Our
World to Build" Mrs Wilfred
Pierce spoke on "Our Assets."

four members were hostesses and
served a tea course. Mrs. Fred

B&PW Club Hears
Report on United
Nations Conference
Members of the Business and
Professional Women s Club heard
a report of the San Francisco Con-
ference when Mrs. Nancy R. Ran-
son, news correspondent to the
conference for the Dallas Morning
News, spoke at a dinner meeting
of the club Tuesday night in Mar-,
quis Hall
Mrs. Ranson, a poet laureate or
Texas from 1941 to 1943 also read
selections from her poetry. Includ-
ed in the prorgam was a discussion
of marketing by Dr Ruth Douglass,
chairman of the International Re-
lations Committee and chairman of
the day. Assisting her with pro-
gram details were other members
of the committee. Mrs Lydia Pa-
tillo, and Miss Ruby Durham.
Two violm numbers were pre-
sented by Miss Dorothy Hart, who
was accompanied on the piano by
Miss Narcissa Woddall.
Those seated at the birthday
table included Miss Elizabeth Hend-
ley, Dr. Mattle Lloyd Wooten, Mrs
Donna Peterson, Mrs W A Wil-
son and Mrs. W E Lanford. Cor-
sages of camellas and gardenias
were presented the honorees and
also those appearing on the pro-
