Dear "Ike", The Alumni Magazine gave me the information. Have thought about your many, many [illegible] more all our "mates" [illegible]. After 53 straight, as Supt. schools here, I resigned June 30, 1947 + am now a retired old (88 in Aug) man. Go only to Church + Rotary when I feel [illegible] has been grand to me - a chance to do a lot of good work - good home + wife - no children + have all worldly goods I need. Hardly ever see any of the boy. John Davis occasionally + Newt Boyer often until his death. Saw Ferd Hudson a year ago + Mike Woods.
You are a grand Campus man + loved by all of us. I know you have made good + have done much for your city. We had our 50th anniversary Sept 4 1950 + it was quite a big occasion. In my [illegible] of the years, I literaly[sic] have [illegible] 2 boys + girls who have made good + [illegible] who, are my dearest friends. Best wishes "Ike" to you and yours
