his friends), age 63, of
Baytown, Texas passed
away unexpectedly on
November 27, 2021. He
was bom in San Antonio,
Texas to Lawrence and
Laquita Ann Bastian.
Raymond graduated
from Ross S. Sterling
High School with the
class of 1976. Following
William (Bootie)
Gonzales, 61, of
Baytown, TX, passed
away on December 2,
2021. Arrangements
are under the care of
Earthman Baytown

88, of Bryan, Texas,
fonuerly a lifelong
resident of Baytown,
Texas, passed away on
December 1, 2021. She
was bom in Cedar Bayou,
Texas on December
13, 1932 to Benjamin
Franklin and Dollie May
Wilburn.
She was married to
John “PeeWee” Thomas
for almost 64 years.
Benny May had a career
in Education for 30 years
teaching Elementary
School in GCCISD. She
was a member of Epsilon
PSI Chapter of Delta
Kappa Gamma, and had
a passion for camping in
Leetha Mary Bauer,
82, of Baytown Texas,
passed away on Tuesday,
November 30, 2021. She
was born on September
26, 1939 in Waukegan,
Illinois to Owen Elston
Stewart and Caroline
Barbara Diehn Stewart.
Leetha met John
Royce Bauer in Roswell,
New Mexico while he
was in the Air Force,
they were married on
April 28, 1962. She was a
faithful parishioner of St.
Jude Thaddeus Catholic
Church in Highlands
where she was also a
member of the Catholic
their RV, square dancing,
her church, and spending
time with her family.
She was preceded in
death by her parents and
her beloved “PeeWee”.
She is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law,
Lori and Bill Woods;
son and daughter-in-
law, Brett and Cheryl
Thomas; grandchildren,
Ryan Woods and wife
Jennifer, Jordan Lockard
and husband Alex, Alyssa
and Meredith Futch,
Trey Thomas; great
granddaughter, Olivia
Woods.
We would like to
thank the caretakers and
staff at Rollingbrook
Rehabilitation Center
in Baytown; the Isle at
Watercrest in Bryan; and
Traditions Hospice in
Bryan/College Station.
Leetha leaves behind to
cherish her memory her
daughter, Paulette Bauer

Merrill; granddaughters,
Kayla Blanchard Jonse
and Megan Green; great-
grandchildren, Turner
Jonse, Nolan Jonse, and
Addisyn Bree Blanchard;
nephews, Joe Stewart,
John Stewart, Jake
Stewart, and Dominic
Stewart; and a host of
extended family and
friends.
Friends are welcome
to visit with the family

6, 2021, from 1 until
1:30 p.m., and from 1:30
p.m. until 2 p.m. Deacon

of Sterling White Funeral

Barbara was bom
on June 2, 1932 in
Shelbyville, Illinois to
Leslie and Ruby Huffaker
Steele.
Barbara taught piano
lessons and music lessons
for over twenty years in
the Baytown area. She
loved gardening and was
a master gardener. She
loved to travel and was
an avid runner.
She is survived by
her children; Mark and
Lisa Biggers, Susan
Davenport, Russell and
Debra Healy, Steve and
Deanna Biggers, and
Karen and Ed Bach;
grandchildren, Mike
and Melissa Biggers,
Matthew and Ashley
Biggers, Daniel and Dana
Biggers, Elizabeth and
Patrick Dew, Dustin and
Daughters.
Leetha worked as
a Beauty Operator in
Roswell, New Mexico for
two years, then was an
amazing housewife and
mom. She was previously
active in the Bay town
Bowling League,
Baytown Art League, and
she was a volunteer at the
Baytown Hospital.
Leetha enjoyed
working in her yard, deer
hunting, her Houston
Oilers and Houston
Texans, she loved Elvis
Presley, and something I
did not know about my
Mom, she had a rather
large Stamp Collection.
Leetha was kind-hearted,
considerate, and caring,
making sure to take
care of everyone before
herself. Leetha will be
dearly missed by all who
knew and loved her.
She is preceded in
death by husband, John
Royce Bauer; parents,
Owen and Caroline
Stewart; daughter,
Jody Anne Blanchard;
grandson, Andrew
Bradley Blanchard;
and brother, James R.
Stewart.
Gourlay on April 23,1923.
Virgil is survived
by his children, Virgil
and wife Brenda, and
Barbara Clinkscales;
grandchildren, Ross
Gourlay and wife Anna,
Rusty Gourlay and
wife Susan, and Cindy
Clinkscales; eleven
great-grandchildren,
three great-great-
grandchildren, one great-
great-great-grandchild,
and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Virgil was preceded in
death by his wife Mary,
daughter Patricia, parents
Jessy and Viola Gourlay,
sister Alice Weiser,
brothers Kennaway and
wife Flonnie, Kervin and
wife Orpha Lee, L.P. and
wife Thelma, and son-in-
law, Tommy Clinkscales.

He served his country
honorably in the U.S.
Navy.

United States Marine
Corp, until he was
honorably discharged.
He drove a long-haul
truck and lived in the Los
Angeles area for a few
years where he enjoyed
working with horses
and raising Rottweilers.
When he returned to his
hometown of Baytown,
he worked as a pipefitter
at many different job sites
until his retirement.
He was a Harley
enthusiast and enjoyed
taking long rides. He was
a “go big or go home”
kind of guy and which
could be seen by his
Harleys and truck.
Unfortunately, due to
his untimely death his
dream to travel and own a
house in the country was
never realized.
