THE ENNIS LIONS have always
been known as the finest sports in
this part of, the district, backed by
the finest group of fans that ever
followed a team. That is the pur-
pose of this page, to show the En-
nis Lions that every merchant and
businessman is 100 percent behind
them on every play. Now it is up
to you fans, to attend every game
that you possibly can, cheer your
team on every play, encourage them
when the going gets rough, let them
know that your are there fighting
just as hard as they are to make
this season of football a successful
a successful one. Then show your
appreciation to the home-town mer-
chants and businessmen named on
this page by patronizing them. A
team, regardless whether it be in
sports or business, is no better than
its supporters, and is just what the
public puts in it. So, let’s be there
and show them just how much we
appreciate their efforts.

----------------- .
OUR GOVERNMENT says that
morale is essential during wartime.
We can think of no better morale =
builder than football, relax your
mind for a brief period of time by
attending all the football games.
Yes, it’s true that it will be impos-
sible fir us to attend all the out-of-
town games due to gasoline ration-
ing, but half of the games are to be
played right here at home. So, lets
attend every home game and show
the Ennis Lions that we are right
behind them, regardless whether it
be win, lose or draw, Ennis fans
have always supported their team
and it is all the more important
ths year that we back the "fightin-
est” little team to the limit. Attend
every home game, and then when
the team is away from home they
will know that if it were possible
you’d be right there in the stands
backing them 100 percent just as
you did when they were on “home
territory.”
