program on flower arranging
to members of the Garden
Beautiful Club when they met
Friday in the home of Ina
Mae Gilbreath. Inez Withers-
poon served as co-hostess for
the meeting.
Ms. Ethridge stressed the
importance of the basis and
mechanics in making flower
arrangements. She used
fresh flowers which were
brought by the members and
made three beautiful ar-
rangements showing the im-
portance of color, design, tex-
ture. pattern and balance
A gift was presented to Ms.
Ethridge from the club.
Ruby Carmichael presided
at the business meeting in the
absence of Helen Spinks.
Reports were given on the
members who were ill, and
Dorothy Noland reported that
flowers were taken to Bruce
and he and his wife have
ministered to prayer groups,
denominational churches and
