may classify behavior as unacceptable and may set the period of probation
subject to the approval of the Dean. The student has the privilege of ap-
pealing the decision to the Disciplinary Committee of the College. This
appeal is made through the Office of the Dean.
Possession or use of alcoholic liquors on the campus is forbidden by
law and the guilty student is subject to immediate dismissal as well as
criminal prosecution. Possession or use of such liquors at any college spon-
sored function is classified as unacceptable behavior.
Scholastic Progress
1. Regular. A student is making regular scholastic progress when his
cumulative record shows a grade point average of at least 1.0 on all courses
taken in the College as well as on all courses taken in his major department
at this institution provided that the- semester hours are accumulated at a
rate which will allow graduation in the usual allotted time for the training
objective of the student.
2. Acceptable. A student not making regular scholastic progress may
be making acceptable scholastic progress if the cumulative record shows
reasonable evidence that the training objective will be reached in the nor-
mal number of semesters (supplemented by adjacent summer sessions) re-
maining in his program of study.
Elective Courses
. Usually a student may choose elective courses which seem to provide a
broad program of study though the courses selected are subject to the ap-
proval of the counsellor for that training objective.
A student may take as much as three semester hours of Bible study
each semester for a total of two semesters. This total may be raised to four
semesters with the approval of the student's counsellor if the field of study
warrants such elective choice.
Registration Procedure
The first step in registration is to provide the Registrar with an Appli-
cation for Admission and a transcript of credits from the school last attend-
ed, whether high school or college. Application forms are furnished by the
Registrar.
After receipt of the application, the Registrar will notify applicant of
date, hour and place for registration. Prompt appearance at the appointed
time and place will accelerate the registration procedure for the student.
Advisors, program makers, and detailed directions for completion of regis-
tration will be provided.
It is strongly recommended that the new student consult the Director
of the division in which the student plans to study before beginning of the
semester so that an appropriate program of study may be planned. Direc-
tors of divisions will usually be found on the campus during the day work-
ing hours.
Registration is complete after payment of tuition and fees provided a
transcript of credits is on file with the Registrar.
Students who expect to attend under the Veterans' Benefit Plan should
secure a certificate of eligibility from the Veterans' Administration before
