periences will include weighing, visualizing, and figuring standard pro-

333-Child Care. A study in child care beginning with the pre-
natal period and involving problems in the training of the young child,
with special emphasis on the child in the home. To be taken as a parallel
course with H. E. 334. Prerequisite: Edu. 235. Class: 3 hours. Credit: 3 se-
mester hours.
334-Nursery School. A study of nursery school procedure. Obser-
vation of children of various ages and actual work with children in a
nursery school group. To be taken as a parallel course with H. E. 333.
Prerequisite: Edu. 235. Individual arrangements will be made for nursery
school participation. Credit: 3 semester hours.
335-Home Furnishings and Home Planning. A course designed to
give the student a background of what to look for and plan for in the
new or remodeled hourse, and to acquaint one with the basic needs of a
home in furnishings. Some time will be devoted to problems of interior
decorating with laboratory experiences and in refinishing and upholstering;
and/or making of accessories, slip-covers, and window treatments. Class:
1 hour. Laboratory: 4 hours. Laboratory fee: $2.00. Credit: 3 semester
hours.
336-Problems in Personal and Home Management: Planned for those
desiring limited study and practical applications concerning the manage-
ment of personal and home problems of daily living. Open to both men
and women. Class: 3 hours. Credit: 3 semester hours.
337-Personal and Social Problems. A course intended to help the
student meet his social needs. Personality, social relationships, and social
usage will be given special emphasis. Open to both men and women.
Class: 3 semester hours. (Note: By special arrangement this course might
also be taken for 1 semester hour credit.)
339-Applied Nutrition. Study of the body's food needs for adequate
and optimal diets and a study of meal planning and meal selection to
satisify these body needs. Especially designed for physical education ma-
jors and for others wishing to choose such a course as an elective. Pre-
requisite: Sophomore standing. Class: 3 hours. Credit: 3 semester hours.
432-Family Life Problems. Designed to recognize some of the perti-
nent problems in family living and to study possible solutions for har-
monious family life. A course designed for mixed groups of men and
women of junior or senior standing. Class: 3 hours. Credit: 3 semester
hours.
433-Home Management and Household Equipment. Study of the
management of resources in the home-time, energy, money, and people-
as a means of achieving maximum satisfaction in family living. Also a
study of equipment as it contributes to the problems of management and
efficiency. Class: 3 hours. Credit: 3 semester hours.
