Chapter 169 H.B. No. 772 1 AN ACT 2 relating to Internet broadcasts of open meetings held by the State 3 Board of Education. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Section 7.106, Education Code, is amended to 6 read as follows: 7 Sec. 7.106. MEETINGS. (a) The board shall hold four 8 meetings a year in Austin, Texas, on dates determined by the chair 9 and may hold other meetings as may be called by the chair. 10 (b) In a manner that complies with Section 551.128, 11 Government Code, the agency shall broadcast over the Internet live 12 video and audio of each open meeting held by the board. 13 Subsequently, the agency shall make available through the agency's 14 Internet website archived video and audio for each meeting for 15 which live video and audio was provided under this subsection. 16 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
