guesta. Appointments were crys-

Mies Rhoades was the recip-
ient of a terse number of beau-
tiful and useful gifts that were
attractively displayed.

The men hunted doves, and
Saturday night the group had
an out door picnic in the Chan-
grilled hamburgers, beans, doves
and fresh peach cobblers for
dessert The young children had
a wonderful time together. All
of those who came had a won-
derful time, and all are looking
forward to Labor Day, 1965, and
we hope others may be able to
attend.
The Kemp families are the
"old timers" of Mullin, and they
have many friends here

The Mullin Home Demonstra-
tion Club met Thursay, Sep-
tember 10, in the home of Mrs.
K. B. Henry, with nine ladles
present.
Mrs Martha Jane Stephens,
agent, presented an instructive
and interesting program on
"Color In The Home." How to
blend colors and change the ap-
pearance of dimensions of
rooms and colors for cold and
warm rooms were brought out.
Next meeting/ will be Thurs-
day, September 24, at the Com-
munity Center? All members are
urged to be present as officers
will be elected.

parent* of a daughter, Leila
Ann Evans, born September 11.
1964, at 4:48 p. m., in Childress
and Cruzcosa Clinic and Hos-
pital in Goldthwaite She weigh-
ed eight pounds and eleven
ounces.

for the gift tea honoring Miss
Carolyn Rhoades, bride-elect of
Robert R Tiemann, Saturday
afternoon, September 12, from
3:00 until 8:00 o’clock

Pink and white floral ar-
rangements were placed at van-
tage points throughout the
party rooms carrying out the
bride-elect’s chosen colors.
Guests were greeted by Mrs.
Hancock and presented to the
honoree, Miss Rhoades, and her
mother, Mrs. D. E. Rhoades, and
Mrs. Raymond C. Tiemann of
Priddy, mother of the prospec-
tive bridegroom.
The refreshment table was
laid with a white imported lin-
en cut work cloth and centered
with a beautiful arrangement of
cherry pink Anthurium Lilies,
in a crystal container. The lilies

Mrs. Verna Lee Dudley visited
recently at Seagraves with Mr.
and Mrs. C. L. Mahler and fam-
ily. She was accompanied on
the trip by Mrs. Margaret Toli-
ver who visited at Brownfield
with Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Toliver
and family. They stopped in Big
Spring on the way and attended
church services at the Church
of Christ.
The football game in Mullin
Saturday night drew a big
crowd, but the Mullin boys were
defeated. Maybe with more
training they will do better
next time. We were playing

Johnnie Holland attended a W
S C. S workshop held last
Thursday at Central Methodist
Church in Brownwood it was
well planned, and certainly an
inspiration to make us want to
do more for God and His work.
We only wish more of our ladies
could have attended.
