DEAR ABBY: I come from a
large family. I have several old-
er sisters and brothers who are
married and have children. I
am engaged to be married and
want to know if, after i am mar-
ried, my husband will automat-
ically become an uncle to my
nieces and nephews’’ I am only
trying to prove a technical
point. He says that MY kin will
be no kin of his, and I say they
will be HIS as well as mine.
Who’s right?
BIG ARGUMENT
DEAR BIG: Your relatives
will become HIS relatives. If
your disagreement is only
technical, that’s one thing.
But If he has mental reserva-
tions about your relatives,
maybe you’d be wise to re-
view your engagement.

Advertising on city property
will undergo serious study in
the next few weeks. Brown-
wood City Council appointed W.
C. (Bill) Monroe head of a com-
mittee to formulate a policy for
advertising placed on city pro-
perty.
Monroe is to select other mem-
bers of the news media to ser-
ve with him on the committee,
and to present their names to
council for approval.
News media will have model
advertising policies, said Coun-
cilman O. C. (Putter) Jarvis.
A system similar to those used
by radio, television and news-
papers might be used by coun-
cil in determining an advertis-
ing policy for the city, he said.

At the suggestion of Council-
man O. C. (Putter) Jarvis, a
study will be made of city’s
insurance plan held for city
employes.
Jarvis told council the pre-
sent insurance program used by
city is inadequate and will not
cover an employe’s medical ex-
penses.
City Manager John Clary was
instructed to request Mills-
San Saba - Comanche Medical
Society review city’s insurance
program.
Mayor W. L. Lamkin agreed
the study is needed because of
the rising cost of medical and
hospital care.
Jarvis also said city should
lower the retainer fee paid Dr.
Ned Snyder for treating city
employes. Most employes are
treated by private physicians.
