Mr. & Mrs. C.C. Blair left
M onday morning of last week for
a scenic trip to Whitesboro, north
to M adill, Oklahoma, to Wewoka,
Watonga and Interstate 40 spen-
ding the night at Salisaw.
Oklahoma. The second day they
went through Stillwell, Westville,
and entering Arkansas at Lincoln
where they spent the night. The
next day they traveled to Fayet-
teville, Springdale, Rogers, into
Missouri at Cassville, to Monett,
and Marionville. The night was
spent at Neosho. The next morn-
ing they left for Carthage and
Hashgrove with the next overnight
stop at Greenfield, Mo. Then
through Clinton and Exeter. Kan
sas. Enroute home was by Rogers,
Arkansas to Lincoln and home to
Belcherville by Saturday evening.
They also brought back some
beautiful apples. Later they drove
to Wichita Falls and visited the
S.V. Walkers. Sunday afternoon
they visited Mrs. Darlene Stewart
in Bowie Memorial Hospital in
Bowie.
Monday of last week Mr. &
Mrs. Billy Miles drove to Clovis,
New Mexico and were guests of
her brother's family, Mr. & Mrs.
Emzy Gay don From there they
all left for Thermopolis, Wyoming
and spent four days with Mr. &
Mrs. Harold Croxton. Sunday
Mrs. Janice Uselton accompanied
them to the D/F.W. Airport to
meet Mrs. Marguerite Haefele of
Cape Coral, Fla., for an indefinite
visit. Wednesday the M iles visited
Mr. & Mrs. Ross Gaydon of Pilot
Point. Saturday night Mrs. Miles
and Mrs. Ruby Milam attended
the wedding of Miss Jan Crain
and Perry Sansing, at the First
Baptist Church in Nocona.
Friday night Mrs. Belle Lewis
accompanied Mrs. Harold Spivey
of Bowie to a pre-nuptial shower
for Miss D'Ann Brown, bride
elect of James Spivey. Later Mrs.

In conjuction with the regular
meeting of Thursday Literary
Club October 21, the members
brought art supplies for Nocona
Elementary School. The meeting
was held in the home of Mrs.
Toby Howard.
The school furnishes supplies
but due to extra talented boys and
girls, the teachers who are
members of the club felt the need.
Brushes, special paints and
monetary gifts were received.
Mrs. Royce Sprott is visual arts
chairman for the Pioneer District
and a teacher in Nocona Elemen-
tary School.

Gardner and Travis attended a
4H meeting. Friday Lorie accom-
panied Mr. & Mrs. Clyde
Whiteside to Waco to visit Joe, at-
tended the Baylor U. Homecom-
ing and spent the night in Waco.
They saw the parade Saturday
morning and were at the Baylor-
SMU game Saturday afternoon.
Sunday morning, Lorie went to a
MYF meeting held at Central
Christian.
Mr. & Mrs. Pete Skinner and
Melissa were kept busy all week-
end assisting with the stock rescue
operation along the Red River.
Melissa was Friday overnight
guest of Tracy Tucker of Nocona.
Tuesday Mrs. Hilde Workman
visited Mrs. Delfina Carminati of
Montague. Sunday noon Mrs.
Carminati and Hilde visited Mr.
& Mrs. Jimmy Wadsworth,
M ichelle, Kami and Cody of
Bowie Route. Sunday afternoon
Mr. & Mrs. Sammy Mitchell, Joe
Chris, and Kasie of Spanish Fort
along with Mrs. Roy Ruth Rice,
Mrs. Ethel Gardner and Hilde
Workman attended the Franzen
Bros. Circus.

Saturday visitors of the Spiveys
were Jason, Cody, and Deanna
Spivey of Bowie. Sunday night
guests of Mrs. Belle Lewis were
Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Roberson
Kenny.
Visitors during the week of
Mrs. Claudia Paschall and Mrs.
Willie Medearis were Mr. & M rs.
Leon Henry and Floyd Hewitt of
Nocona, and Mr. & Mrs.

Mrs. Lily Buck was Thursday
dinner guest of Mr. & Mrs.
Donald Buck, April and Don Jr.
of Petrolia. The occasion was to
celebrate Donald's birthday. Mrs.
Buck was overnight guest.
Saturday Mr. & Mrs. C.B
Crenshaw were in Henrietta to
watch the 3rd and 4th graders lit de
football game between Henrietta
and Sheppard Airbase. Their
grandson Bay Reed is on the
team.
Saturday morning Miss Minnie
Belle and Virgil Manley, also
Mrs. Lily Buck, drove over the
Red River bridge to Oklahoma
side to watch the cattle and horse
rescue operation from the flooded
Red River.
Mrs. Janice Uselton attended
the wedding of Miss Jan Crain
and Perry Sansing at the First
Baptist Church of Nocona. Sun-
day Mrs. Uselton accompanied
Mr. & Mrs. Miles, after church
services to Krum where they all
had dinner at the Clay Pottery,
and later drove to Dallas Airport
to meet, Mr. Miles sister, Mrs.
Marguerite Hafele.
Monday night Mrs. Ralph
Gardner was in Nocona to watch
Lorie play volleyball, while Mr.
Cub Scout Den No. 1. Pack
108, met Monday afternoon at the
First Methodist Church for their
। first meeting of the year.
Boys who are interested in join-
| ing Cub Scouts but haven't joined
I as yet please contact Rev. Charles
(Chuck) Fisher.
। Meetings will be held each
Monday afternoon from 4:30 to
j 5:30 at the Methodist Church.
The newest Cubs are: John
Byork, Jeffery Davis, Brian
Gibbs, Ben Kabisch, Bill Murphy,
Jason Nix, Casey Parr, Kenneth
Riddles and Cory Six.
Mothers who came to assist with
the meeting and make plans for
the coming year were: Mrs.
Denice Kabisch, Mrs. Donna
Gibbs, Mrs. Terry Murphy, Mrs.
Jackie Nix, Mrs. Pat Parr and
Johnnie Riddles.
Visitors were Jessica, Zachary
and Hubbell Kabisch and Randy
M urptiy.
