One of today’s victims is Archbishop
P. L. Chapelle, whose case was re-
ported by Dr. La Rue, his family phy-
sician.
At 10:30 p'clock tonight. Dr. La Rut
who is attending Archbishop Chapelle
gave out the following statement:
“I saw the archbishop Friday night
at 9 o’clock and found that he had a
well defined, case of yellow fever. I
saw him tonight at 9:30 ‘clock, and
while he is auite sick his condition
is not at all alarming.

made and efficiently carried out in
eonnection with the scientific treat-
ment nt cases; there is to be extaorai-
nary effort made to destroy the mos-
quito and to prevent communication
of Infected people with those nonin-
footed, and there is to be an earnest
appeal to the people of the community
to join hands In stamping out the dis-

News was received here last night of
a probably fatal accident to Walter
Weller, a Frisco railroad freman. The
unfortunate man was on a freight en-
gine, northbound, near Antlers. I. r.,
and was shaking the cinders from the

the Mississippi guards and the Louisiana
naval brigade is ■ considered to have
ended. So encouraging were the condi-
tions today that Governor Blanchard
sent orders to Commander Bostwick to
withdraw part of his forces. He has
telegraphed Captain Bostwick as fol-
lows:
“If the Mississippi patrol boat Grace
be properly in the service of the United
States hospital bureau you cannot seise
her. Am not fighting the federal gov-
ernment. Am expecting advices from Dr.
Wasdin and Secretary Shaw.”
