All of us enjoyed the Christmas
holidays and all of the nice gifts
we received from St. Nicholas.None
of us could take long trips during
the holidays,. because of gas ra-
tioning. out nearly all of us made
trips ■■ Austin and Taylor.
Last week was almost like start-
ing a new school year but this week
we are back into the swing of school
work again* Ne had one. new pupil
twenty-eight.
Jo Ann Kruger, Tommy Kruger,
Kermit Decker, Romanite Sarabia, Jo
Ann Hugland, Victor Chappa, and
Norman Brinkmeyor were Taylor visi-
tors recently.

Ne have lost one pupil,Claudine-
Schroeder,and gained four now ones:
Ray Love, Daniel Sanchez, Isaias
Blanco and Beatrico Gonzales.

on our program for P.T.A. Friday,
and hope that it will be a success.

spent .Sunday at Dol Vallo. Dessic,
Lorraine, Tilliam, and Lilburn spent
the weck-ond in Taylor. Lucille
Barrow spent Sunday in Pflugerville.
Milton spent Saturday in Austin.

stituting in her place. Bert Love
from Round Rock has entered the
first grade. Leonard Carlson spent
Christmas in Austin. Tommy Kruger
visited in Thrall during the
Christmas holidays. Kermit Deck-

glad to have him.
The fourth ar-de came back to
school after the holidays with won-
derful reports of what Santa
brought. We thought it was a vary
nice holiday and it was fun eto
bring our-now/toys to school to
show our classmates.
Our geography class is making a
poster with pictures and stories
about people who help us. Te were
surprised to learn how many people
help us, and we think we are learn-
ing to appreciate what they do.
He are learning our multiplica-
tion tables, too. It’s hard work,
The seventh and eighth grades
are putting, on a P.T.A. program Fri-
day. Ne hope you will like it. We
are going to have some nice songs
and plays.
The girls haven’t been able to
play baseball this week because it
was muddy and we didn’t have any
basoba.:1. It was being fixed.
