sored an Explorer Post of the Boy
Scouts. The value of this project
is understood without discussion.
"It is most urgently requested
that employers who have members
of the Guard in their employ, to
cooperate in every possible way to
let these men go to camp without
jeopardizing their jobs," said Capt.
Gregg. He further explained, "we
are striving for 100% attendance,
and this can be possible only with
cooperation." Several employers
not only permit their employees
time off for camp, but also permit
them an additional vacation, pri-
marily state employees, railroad
employees, etc.
In summary, Capt. Gregg stated:
"Since the camp dates this year
are after the tomato season, it is
felt that all men should be able
to attend camp without causing
any undue hardship to any em-
ployer. The National Guard asks
you to show your appreciation for
it by cooperating in this matter.
Remember the Guard stands for a
nice payroll in Rusk, and only a
good showing at camp will main-
tain that payroll."
