addition to Chamberlin Ele-
mentary School and hear
recommendations from the
architect when it meets in
regular monthly session at 7
pm Monday at the Middle
School club room
The architect and school
representatives recently
made an inspection of the
facility, containing more than
4,100 square feet of floor
space, which will complete the
master plan for the school
The board will also review
and discuss plans for air-con-
ditioning projects and meet in
executive session to consider

Mr and Mrs Hugh Wolfe, of
Stephenville have made a
gift of 1100,000 to the Tarleton
State University Development
Foundation for the first major
donation to the newly-formed
organization
The gift was accepted
Thursday by CH. Maguire,
Jr., Chairman of the foun-
dation.
Wolfe attended Tarleton in
the 1930 s and is a graduate of
the University of Texas He is
a 1978 distinguished alumnus
of the university and is
currently serving on the board
of regents for North Texas
State University He is also a
trustee of the Tarleton
Development Foundation
Wolfe is currently in-
volved in investments and is
on the board of directors of
ElcorCorp of Midland
Wolfe's wife, Ernie, is a
graduate of Baylor Univer-
sity
In presenting the gift to the
foundation Wolfe said, "Ernie
and I are very enthusiastic
about the work that is being
done at Tarleton, and we
believe in the future of the
university.”
The Tarleton Development
Foundation was organized by
the board of directors of the
TSU Alumni Association in
November The purpose of the
foundation is to accept gifts,
donations and property to be
placed in endowments solely
for the benefit of Tarleton
State

Christ, will give the invocation
and benediction

from Brownwood. Texas, to

weeks of holiday shopping.
Several downtown stores are
staying open until 8 p.m. on
weeknights to accomodate the
extra shoppers Gibson's has
also decided to open on
Sunday afternoon.
