Editorial...
By Dan Cook
I was thinking the other day
about the days I've spent in
school When you are a Freshman,
four years seem like a long way
off You have enjoyed your first
year in high school, mainly be
cause it is so different from your
days in grade school and in junior
high. As a Sophomore, the days
are passing a little faster now
You have gotten into the routing
of things, and you know just about
how everything runs Then you be
come a Junior, and things are real
ly popping—you're an upper class
man now. You have a good many
n*>re activities which makes
things more pleasant for every
one. The main thoughts of this
year arc on the Junior I'lay and
the Junior .Senior banquet
But one day you're a Senior.
Then you realize that within a
few months you must make a very
important decision. A decision that
wili live with you the rest of.
your life: whether you are going
to enter college, go to work, or
whether you will enter the mill
iary service. No one can make up
your mind for you, it is your decis-
ion and yours alone For the first'
time you realize that you haven't;
done your very best throughout
high school But that is in the past j
and it can't be changed Those
years are on record Also you will
think of your friends that will go
their separate ways after gradua-
tion, some that you have known
since the first grade. A sad thought
comes in your rnind that you prob
ably won't ever see some of them
again. Then all of the pep rallies,
football and basketball games, the
Junior and Senior plays, and all
other activities you were interest-
ed in will flash before your eyes
But within a few months all of this
will be in the past and you must
look to the future—a future that
holds many daring and exciting
adventures for you Will you take
a chance on them or will you
pass them by. wondering the rest
of your Life what might have hap-
pened if you had done them''
