Have you ever wished for a
co orful and exciting floor
covering for that stained or
dismal concrete patio or por-
ch 7 Your wish may be only
as far away as the local floor
covering dea'er.
Most dealers have colorful,
weather-resistant outdoor
carpeting or a new type of re-
silient tile flooring designed
for concrete patios, porches,
breezeways, and other loca-
tions subject to weather.
The new weather-resistant
resilient flooring provides an
attractive, durable walking
surface that requires little
upkeep. An occasional sweep-
in? and rinislng with a garden
hose provides a quick clean-
up.
Installation is similar tothat
of ordinary Indoor tile floor-
ing, except that an extra step
is involved. A new technique
of cement application and tile
spacing allows for expansion
and contraction. Application
of the resilient tile flooring
requires no special skill or
equipment and can be done by
the do.it.yourself enthusiast.
Intensive tests indicate that
the new resilient outdoor floor
tile is unhrmed by repeated
freezing and thawing. Install-
ations were subjected to tem-
peratures as low as 40 de-
frees below zero and as high
as ISO degrees above without
damage to the tile or loosen,
ing of the adhesive. The mat.
erial is also resistant to
color fading under prolonged
exposure to sunlight.
