The Rusk Business & Pro.
fessional Women's Club met
at Miss Be-lah Allen's Lake
Striker he ne the evening of
May 13, for a bounteous cov-
ered dish dinner. Hostesses
for the occasion were Miss
Marion Mallard and Miss Al-
len.
The invocation was given
by Mrs. Lois Henry.
Mrs. Lucille Seale, presi-
dent, conducted the business
meeting following the dinner.
A letter of resignation was
read from Mrs. Gladys Evans.
The club accepted, with re-
gret, her resignation as 1st
vice-president, and elected
Mrs. Lena Bell Pirtle to fill
the office
Otner correspondence was
read and rpatters of business
were discussed.
Mrs. Mable Horn dismissed
the meeting with prayer.

dames Seale, Henry, Horn,
Dorothy Ross. Mildred Ful-
ton E ither Mae Durrett, Lo-
uise Cromwell, and Evelyn
Goff, Also present were Mis-
ses Allen, Mallard, Varine
Santers, Audrey Simmons
and Carolyn Forster.

their studies and returned
home for the summer.

les Nixon, Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
von Doenhoff and Mr. and
Mrs. George Goldsberry
spent Friday, Saturday and
Sunday at Hodges Gardens
near Many, Louisiana, where
