Seven complaints were filed
during the last week in the
court of Justice of the Peace
Abner Webb
Two persons were charged
with assault with intent to
murder, one with reckless
driving, three with speeding
and one with driving without a
license.
Training School
Is Scheduled
Enrollment blanks are being
distributed by Forrest Mat-
hews. chairman of the Com-
mission on Education and
Superintendent of church
school studies at the First
t inted Methodist Church in
liusk for a District Training
School for church school
teachers and workers.
The school is scheduled
Monday and Tuesday, Aug 27
and 2H at the First Methodist
Church in Palestine. Classes
will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m both
evenings
An outstanding faculty has
been secured for the school,
according to the Rev. Buford
Finlev, District Director of
Fducalion Instructors include
Rev and Mrs Bill Weir of
Houston, Charles Holbrook of
Marvin Church in Tyler and
Mrs Dorsey Johnson
The primary emphasis of the
school will be on methods of
effective teaching with child-
ren youth and adults.
Those who expect to attend
are asked to return their
enrollment sheets to Mr.
Mathews not later than Sun-
das Il has been suggested that
those attending from Rusk
meet lirst at the church at 6

Ray Teutsch
Promoted
To Manager
M. Ray Teutsch has been
appointed to the position of
general sales manager for Lone
Star Brewing Company. ~5an
Antonio, Texas. Harry Jersig,
Chairman of the Board said the
appointment was effective
immediately.
Teutsch joined Lone Star
Brewing Company in January.
1967 as director of market
development Since his origi-
nal assignment, he has served
in additional sales and market-
ing positions. In May. 1972.
Teutsch was promoted to
assistant general sales man-
ager and June, 1973 saw him
elevated to acting general
sales manager
Born in Rusk, he was
graduated from Louisiana
State University in 1961 with a
degree in marketing. Prior to
entering the brewing industry,
he was employed by a national
consumer product company in
marketing positions.
He is a member of the
American Marketing Associ-
ation and has served as
the membership chairman of
the San Antonio chapter. This
year, he headed the South
Texas fund drive for Louisiana
State University and also is a
director of the March of
Dimes.
The Teutsch family includes
his wife, Jane, and their two
children, Monte, eight, and
Cara, six.

and children Todd and Kecia of
Dallas were weekend guests of
his parents Mr and Mrs. Joe
Guinn.
