Criminal Docket
Criminal charges were filed
this week against 16 persons.
Charged with driving while
intoxicated were: Judge Ches-
ter Muse, Jessie Lewis Fore-
man, John Carlton Smith,
Andrew Rufus Ebarb, Edward
Neal Peoples, Lavalle Ray
Smith, Joe Henry Durrett and
Benjamin Ardry.
Donald Ray Brooks was
charged with carrying a
prohibited weapon and Rufus
Carlton Benge was charged
with aggravated assault.
Charged with intent to
defraud were: Jerry Whity
Joe Woods, A. J Stanton,
William C. Lindley. Jerry W.
Lindsey and Janeene Delaney.
Vicente Rodriguez Jr. pled
guilty to a charge of driving
while intoxicated filed in
September, 1972, and was fined
$200 and placed on one year's
probation.
Probate Docket
Orders were netered in the
following causes: Leon Weldon
Crane, Bonita Eilkins, Wiley
Hardy Overall and Dorothy M.
Barber.

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE
Charged this week in Justice
of the Peace Abner Webb's
court were one person each for
no drivers license, speeding,
escaping custody of the sheriff
and assault and battery on a
female.
SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
One person each was arrest-
ed this week for aggravated
assault, shoplifting, disturbing
the peace, possession of
marijuana and assault and
battery on a female.

Texes Recipe
HOLIDAY PECAN ROLL
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup light cream
V4 cup corn syrup
2 Tbsp. butter
Powdered sugar
Texas pecans, chopped
Cook white and brown sugar, salt, cream and corn syrup until
mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Remove from
fire. Add butter. Cool. Beat until creamy. Turn out on pastry board
dusted with powdered sugar. Knead until firm. Shape into roll. Roll
in chopped pecans. Press nuts firmly into candy. Keep in cool places
until firm enough to slice.
