Mrs. E. D. Bussey, superintend-
ent of Adult No. 1 Department of
the Baptist Sunday School, was
hostess at a luncheon Thursday
noon for officers and teachers,
with Mrs. Prior Pickett as honor
guest. Mrs. Pickett, a former
teacher of the department, is now
teaching a class of intermediate
girls.
The first monthly luncheon for
all the members of the department
was held at the church last Thurs-
day noon, with more than fifty in
attendance. Each class furnished
part of the menu. During the
luncheon hour business men and
women attended. Short talks were
made by the presidents of the
classes and a musical program was
enjoyed.
More than fifty per cent of the
officers and teachers stayed for
business meetings and then made
visits to prospective members and
absentees.
