tiers from a silver caplet.
The bride’s grandmother, Mrs.
Carl Wilkinson, wore a nylon bond-
ed knit dress in navy blue, comple-
mented with white accessories. The
mother of the bridegroom, Mrs.
R. F. Douglas, wore a light blue
dress lof bonded knit, with match-
ing accessories. Both wore white
corsages.
Following the ceremony a recep-
tion was held by the grandparents
of the bride and parents of the
bridegroom.

The last day to register for the
fall semester at Frank Phillips
College, Borger, is Friday, Sept.
11. The registration process must
.be completed, including the pay-
ment of tuition and having an Iden-
tification Card made, by 4 p.m.
The Registrar’s office is in the
center of the Administration Build-
ing, and is the first building on
the right of the campus entrance.
Na person will be admitted to
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
classes after Sept. 14, or' to a
Tuesday-Thursday class after Sept.
15, unless they have permission
from the Academic Dean.
Classes began on Friday, August
28, 1970.
Rooms are still available for col-
lege women in Maxine Goins Hall,
and for college men in W. G.
Stephens Hall.
Nona Douglas, maid of honor.
Miss Loree Childress of Sham-
rock, friend of the bride, presided
at the guest register.
The bride’s table was laid with
a floor-length cloth of blue, over-
laid with a white linen cloth of
Mexican drawnwork. The blue and
white centerpiece was flanked with
crystal candelabra holding white
tapers. The tiered wedding cake
was topped with wedding bells and
blue doves. The crystal punch
bowl and silver service completed
the setting.
Presiding at the table were Mrs.
William Leonard and Mrs. Earl L.
O’Neal, both of Pampa.
The bride is a former student of
Shamrock High School and has
been employed at Groom Memorial
Hospital. The bridegroom is also
a former student of Shamrock High

SEPT. 11 ENDS REGISTRATION
AT FRANK PHILLIPS COLLEGE
Miss Deborah Lee Swink, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. James Swink
of Groom, became the bride of
Robert Douglas, son of Mr. and
Mrs. R. F. Douglas of Pampa, on
Sunday afternoon, August 9, at
2:30 o’clock in the Advent Christian
Church of Shamrock.
The Rev. R'. L. Alexander, as-
sistant pastor of Fellowship Baptist
Church of Wheeler, officiated in
the double ring ceremony.
Altar decorations featured an
arch entwined with greenery and
flowers with a white rug complet-
ing the setting. Pews were mark-
ed with bows of white ribbon.
Miss Deborah O’Neal of Pampa,
played a prelude of nuptial selec-
tions as guests assembled.
Glen Henry sang “The Lord’s
Prayer” by Malotte, as the couple
stood at the altar. He was accom-
panied by Miss Candy Dodgen.
Miss O’Neal played “The Bridal
Chorus,” from "Lohengrin" by
Wagner, for the processional and
Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March”
for the recessional.
Miss Nona Douglas of Pampa,
sister of the bridegroom, was maid
of honor. She wore a dress of light
blue and carried a bouquet of blue
and white flowers.
Raymond Douglas of Pampa,
served his brother as best man.
Ushers were Kenneth Cook of
Shamrock and Charles Davis of
Borger, cousin of the bridegroom.
The bride, who was escorted to
the altar and given in marriage 'by
her paternal grandfather, Carl Wil-
kinson, was attired in a knee-length
