The Nightin’ Gals Club met in
the Hospitality room of the State
National Bank Tuesday evening,
Oct. 26. Hostesses were Mrs. Rob-
ert Milton and Mrs. Glynn D Har-
rell.
Refreshments were served to a
guest, Mrs. Mary Willetts and the
following members: Mmes. Carl
Homer, Ray Britten, Kenneth
Black, Ted Friemel, C. F. Her-
mesmeyer, Ernest Lamberson, W.
C. Whatley, Joe Davis, Thelma
Pool, Loula Wall, Charley Fields,
Lucille West, Velma Evans and
Miss Beulah Shockley.
Games of pinochle were played
with Thelma Pool winning high
score prize and Mrs. Ray Britten,
low score.
The Carson County 4-H County
Council met Monday, October 18,
at the Extension office in Panhan-
dle. They made all necessary
plans for the Achievement Ban-
quet which is to be held Monday,
November 8, in the Agricultural
Building in Panhandle. At this
banquet members will be recog-
nized for their individual achieve-
ments.
After planning the banquet they
elected the new council officers for
the oncoming year. These are as
follows: .
President, Lynett Bichsel; 1st
vice-pres., Rex Caldwell; 2nd vice-
pres., .Steve Sterling; secretary,
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Boyce were
honored Saturday evening with a
surprise party in celebartion of
their 25th wedding anniversary in
the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. L.
Culver. Hosting the party were
the Boyce’s married children, Mr.
and Mrs. Steve Boyce of Dallas
and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mil-
ler of Amarillo. Others assisting
with the party were little Tammy
Boyce who had charge of register-
ing the guests, Mrs. David Levy
and Mrs. Max Wade presided at
the refreshment table with Mr. and
Mrs. C. L. Culver.
Approximately fifty guests called
during the appointed hours and in-
cluded mothers of Mr. and Mrs.
Boyce, Mrs. [Maude Sharp of Bor-
ger and Mrs. I. E. Boyce of Can-
yon.
