ding shower at 7 p.m.,

Calvary Tabernacle United

Shrine Club will sponsor a
Bean Dinner Friday at the
Shrine Club Building Ser-
ving hours are It a.m. until

beans, cornbread, slaw, re-
lishes, dessert and bever-
age choice of tea or coffee.
Cost for adult portion is
$l .75; children under 10

Lawson is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Willard Law-
son of Alto and Mr. and
Mrs. Kay Gates are par-
ents of the prospective
groom.
The many lovely gifts
were opened by the couple
around a table covered
with an antique lace table-
cloth over blue. The table
holding the gifts featured
an arrangement of white
carnations and greenery in
a white vase. Flanking the
arrangement was a ceram-
ic bride and groom.
On (he wall, behind the
refreshment table, was a
giant heart of blue and
white crepe paper. In the
cent^r*oM he heart was a
" collection photo frame with
v. live .small pictures of the
bride-to-be and four small
pictures of the prospective
groom from infancy until
the present. Also in the
frame was a f>x7 picture of
the couple that was used
for their engagement an-
nouncement.
The refreshment table
was covered with a blue
cloth overlaid with white
lace. The cake was inscri-
bed "Best Wishes To Me-
linda and Paul." A large
oval crystal platter held
the cake. Cake squares,
nuts and mints were served
from silver and china
bowls and trays. Wedding
plates, napkins, and cups
were arranged around the
crystal punch bowl.
Hostesses for the shower
were Mesdames Jerry
Ford. Jerry Knott, Wayne
Hopkins. Kenneth Gates,
