The brotherhood is to have its
next meeting at Walnut Springs
Friday night, September 5. The
Walnut Springs Methodist Church
will furnish the evening meal and
arrange the program and the
time. All members and friends
are invited.

To Meet June 17
E. N. Trew, Pasture Specialist
from A&M, will meet with the
Van Zandt County Livestock As-
sociation next Tuesday night,
June 17, Ralph Liston of Wills
Point, President of the Associa-
tion, announced.
Mr. Trew will bring a program
on “Forage For the Beef Herd”
and "Fertilizing East Texas Pas-
tures.” We are fortunate in get-
ting Mr. Trew," said Liston, "be-
cause he has a good background
of experience and will be talking
about something we are all inter-
ested in.”
Mr. Trew will use slides as
illustrative material in bringing
the program.
Mr. Trew has his Masters de-
gree in agronomy from A&M and
for the past two years has been
Associate Agronomist with the
Weslaco Experiment Station,
Weslaco, Texas. Prior to that
time he served as County Agent
of Cass and Lamar counties.

Girls Chosen
To Attend Camp
Naomi Langley, Doris Cham-
bers, Charlotte Parker and Yvonne
Thompson, 4-H girls of Van Zandt
county, were selected to go to
district camp at Trinidad by the
Home Demonstration Council at
Canton Monday.
The girls told the Council about
the work done in their club. The
members then elected the four
girls they thought should go.
