The bride, given in marriage by
her father, chose a floor length A-
line gown of white chantilly lace
and organza over taffeta. The bodice I
of chantilly lace glowed with dainty
seed pearls and French sequins and
had long fitted sleeves tapered to
petal points at her wrists. Lace mo-
tifs touched with French sequins
cascaded across the sweeping A-line
skirt. A detachable chapel train was
beautifully scalloped and richly bor-
dered with iace. Her bridal veil was
of bruffant white nylon tulle drifting I
from a handmade crown and petal
headpiece of pearls, crystals, and se-

Bridesmaids were Miss Sherlene i

Glee Parker, sister of the groom ;
They all wore identical street length
dresses of light blue brocade with
headpieces of light blue nylon tulle
trimmed with white velvet ribbon
and white accessories. They wore j
corsages of white carnations.
Candlelighters were Tonja Watson
and Paul Melton. Flower girl was
Tyra Watson and ring bearer was
Kelly Joe Melton, all cousins of the
groom.
Steve Jacobs, cousin of the groom,
was best man. Groomsmen were
Steve Hodge, Leeman Cole and Brent
Melton, cousins of the groom. Serv-
ing as ushers were Earnest Caskey
and Joe Vern Melton.

Miss Linda Sullivan and Rickey
Parker exchanged vows in a candle-
light ceremony at the Jackson Bap-
tist Church Friday evening, March
21, at 7:30 o’clock.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James Sullivan. She will
be a spring graduate from Canton
High School. The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. 0 if ton Parker and
will graduate from Henderson Coun-
ty Junior College this spring.

Mr and Mrs. Spencer Whitton an-
nounce the engagement and ap-
proaching marriage of their daugh-
ter, Darlene Elizabeth, to Marion
David McGill.
Mr McGill is the son of Mrs Pat
McGill and the late Mr. McGill of
Deport.
The wedding is set for Saturday
' evening, May 10, at the Whitton
Church ci Christ at 7:30 o’clock. John
Reeves will read the ceremony.
The bride-elect is a graduate of
Canton High School and attended Psy-
rhiatric Nursing School in Terrell.
Mr. McGill is a graduate of Deport
High School and atttended Paris Jun-
ior College. Both are presently cm-
ployed in Dallas where they will
make their home.
All friends and relatives of the
coiple are invited to attend the wed-
ding.
