ogy, chemistry, and physics at
Canton high school, will work

the NTSC faculty in a biology
project
The research participation pro-
gram for science teacher train-
ing will be conducted at NTSC
June 6 to Aug. 20. It is support-
ed by a grant of $16,960 from the
National Science Foundation.
Each participant will receive
a stipend of 75 per week plus $15
per dependent up to a maximum
of four. Selection was on the
basis of a current active career
in teaching physics, chemistry or
biology.
The work is planned to offer
quality research experiences in
biological and physical sciences
to highly selected teachers.
This will be designed to help
them develop techniques of ex-
perimentation and research re-
port writing, explore new scien-
tific developments, and become
acquainted with the use of re-
search instruments and with new’

his home in Dallas after a long
illness.
He was born in Canton, son of
the late Judge and Mrs. R. M.
Lively. He was a member of the
First Methodist Church in Can-
ton.

Waco and Frank P. Lively of
New Orleans La.; a daughter,
Mrs. Julia Partian of San Fran-
cisco, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. E.
