Miss Karla Ann Greene of Rusk
and Bobby Glenn Thrash Jr. of
Reklaw were united in marriage
Oct. 3 at First Baptist Church of
Rusk with the Rev. Jerry Wallace
officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr
and Mrs. Steve Greene and the
groom is the son of Bobby G. Thrash
Sr. of Reklaw and the late Marlys
Thrash.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose an elegant formal
gown of white heirloom lace and taf-
feta. The illusion bodice was
highlighted with pearls and sequins
over the lace bodice,with mandarin
collar fashioned in Venise lace The
dropped waist featured an
asymetrical torso enhanced by a
large taffeta sash embellished at the
Rinehart-Slovacek wedding vows
repeated at Oakland Baptist Church
Cindy Rinehart became the bride
of Jamie Slovacek at 3 p.m.. Oct 26
at the Oakland Baptist Church The
double ring ceremony was read by
the Rev Roy Hughes, pastor of the
church
The bride is the daughter of San-
dra Stewart of Gonzales and Jimmy
Kinehart of Dallas Her grand-
parents are Mrs Steve Pirkle of
Gonzales and Mr and Mrs Fred

The groom is the son of Mrs
Jeanie Crisp of Jacksonville He is

greenery The altar was lined with
Boston ferns and mauve colored

ding dress The lovely gown was

semble was of antique brocade
satin fashioned with a fitted bodice

chief which belonged to her great
great grandmother It was placed on
her skirt
The bride wore a picture frame
hat, covered with antique tulle,
caught into poufs at the back and
cascading to a fingertip length veil
The hat was trimmed with bridal
illusion, satin ribbon and antique
pearls The bouquet the bride
carried was a cascading arrangem-
ent of antique white ri*es accented
with mauve tea roses along with

wore dresses which matched the
matron's of honor and carried
mauve baskets with antique white

Tracy Stewart, brother of the bride,
and timothy Treadwell. nephew of
the groom, serv ed as ring bearers

ceremony at the home of Rodney

attended by Mrs Tammy Treadwell

mother-in-law with a long-stem red

The bride is a graduate of Rusk
High School and is presently atten-
ding Tyler Junior College The
groom is a graduate of Jacksonville
High School and has attended Tyler
Junior College He is presently em-
ployed by Jacksonville Livestock
Commission
The bridal party and family were
entertained with a lovely rehearsal
dinner at the Oakland Baptist Chur-
ch Fellowship Hall, hosted by the
groom's family Following the din-

honeymooned in Louisiana
hip with a taffeta bow with
streamers. Juliet sleeves of
heirloom lace were pouffed at the
shoulder and gently tapered to the
wrists and finished with a scalloped
edge of Venise lace The full
cathedral train of taffeta was edged
in Venise lace Complimenting the
style of the gown the bride chose a
headpiece fashioned of dainty silk
flowers and sprays of pearls on
filiment to give a soft touch. The full
fingertip double tiered veil was a
rolled edge English illusion. She
carried a bouquet of white rosebuds,
miniature carnations, baby's breath
and lemon leaf.
Nan Glaze of Alto was matron of
honor Kim Anderson. Molly Thrash
and Shelly Norman were
bridesmaids Their dresses were tea
length in sapphire blue Raschel lace
over satin. They featured a long tor-
so with crisscross lace band across
the torso and ending in the back with
a bow at the hip
Bruce Baggett was best man and
groomsmen w ere Bob Parrott, Dave
Watson, and Jack Wilkerson.
Ushers were Chad Greene and Brian
Townsend Denise Jones presided at
the registry table
Craig Anderson sang 'Let It Be
Me" and "The Lord's Prayer.'
Other music was provided by Susar
Pate and Stephanie Adams
A reception was held in the covin
try home of the bride's parents Tt*
bride's table was beautifully done in
linen and lace with a white tulle un-
derskirt At one end of the table was
the wedding cake, decorated with
irridescent doves, bells, grapes and
ribbons It was topped with han-
dblown crystal swans in a crystal
heart archway Punch was served
from a crystal heirloom punchbowl
set Crystal candleholders held
white tapers to complete the all
white theme The white and blue
grooms table offered Italian cream
cake and coffee serv ed from a silver
service Silver candleholders with
blue tapers centered the table.
Members of the house party were

Joyce Watson
Following a honeymoon in Dallas,
the couple is at home in Jackson-
ville The groom is self employed at
