IN LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL ACTION, Rusk took on Hudson Tuesday, Jan. 18.
but was defeated by Hudson with a final score of 58-47. Pictured above and to the
left are Sheland Kennedy, No. 22, and Tiffany Session, No. 10. Each scored 15
points for the Varsity team. The Lady Eagles then took on Central Friday, Jan.
2 lat home. Central pulled ahead in the first half and kept the lead for a 50-38 win
over Rusk. Tiffany Sessions was lead shooter with 18 points, 12 points scored by
hitting 4 three pointers. Also, pictured to the right are Julie Boren, No. 40,
shooting against Central, and Roshunda Tilley, No. 44, prepared to rebound or

The Rusk Eagles Varsity Basket-
ball team played a close game Tues-
day, Jan. 18 but came out oo top
against Hudson with a final score of
Rusk 64, Hudson 62. Leading scorer
was Jamaal Leviston with 14 points.
Collin Evans and Steven Overstreet
each added 12 points. The Rusk
Eagles out scored the Hornets in
■ every frame.
The Rusk Eagles beat the Central
'Bulldogs 69-64 on the road Friday
night, Jan. 21. The Eagles led at
halftime by 9, but by the third quar-
ter the Central Bulldogs had taken
a 7 point lead. Rusk continued to
trail the Central Bulldogs until late
in the fourth quarter. Darwin
Stewart ripped 4 of 5 free throws in
this frame to give Rusk the lead and
the victory. Darwin Stewart also
scored a whooping 32 points during
the game, Scott Ramey hit 16 points,
and Steven Overstreet added 14
points.
Rusk is 17-6 overall, 5-1 in dis-
trict.
