DeFoor, 69, of Abilene, was at 2
p.m. Wednesday in the Elliott-Hamil
Funeral Home Chapel of Memories
in Abilene with the Rev. Don Cauble
officiating.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m.
Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Ar-
rangements were under the direc-
tion of Wallace-Thompson Funeral
Home.
Mrs. DeFoor died Monday in an
Abilene hospital. She was born in
Neches and moved to Abilene from
Jacksonville in 1962. She was a
homemaker, a Baptist and a mem-
ber of the CoraPoseyChapter#1072,
Order of the Easter Star, Social Or-
der of Beauceant Assembly 192,
Daughters of the Nile, Ziphron
Temple 100, American Gold Star
Mothers and Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 2012 Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by a
son, Victor Lee DeFoor in 1970.
Survivors are her husband, Albert
DeFoor of Abilene; a son, Jimmy
DeFoor of Abilene; three sisters,
Mattie Velma Foshee of Jackson-
ville, Ruth Wyatt of Klamath Falls,
Ore. and Catherine Kressley of Hous-
ton; a brother, William P. Largent of
Rusk; six grandchildren; seven great-
grandchildren and numerous nieces
and nephews.

Funeral for William C. George, 72,
of Rusk, formerly of Alto, waa at 2
p.m. Wednesday in the O. T. Allen &
Son Funeral Home Chapel with the
Rev. Odis Bryan officiating. Burial
was in Old Palestine Cemetery.
Mr. George died Sunday in Rusk.
He was born May 10,1923, in Alto to
the late William C. and Maudie Elsie
Neely George and was a lifetime
resident of Cherokee County. Mr.
George was a U.S. Army veteran of
World, War II and a retired
groundskeeper for Rusk State Hos-
pital and a partime worker for
Welch's Grass Farm in Rusk. He
was a Baptist.
Survivors include four sons, David
George of Holley, Richard George of
Abilene, William George Jr. of Ger-
many and John George of Bryant,
Ark.; one stepson, Robert Ferguson
of lyier; two daughters, Sherry
George of Abilene and Charlotte
Wagoner of Rusk; three stepdaugh-
ters, Thelma Biddlecome of Rusk,
Mary Jansen of Tyler and Ann
McCaslin of Bryant, Ark.; one sister,
Aliene Waggner of Nebraska; eight
grandchildren; and two great-grand-
children.
Pallbearers were Robert Ferguson,
George Jansen, David Starr, Billy
George, Johnnie George and Michael .
