time neighbor, Jesse L. Doyle,
had passed away in Baylor Hos-
pital in Dallas Nov. 10. Mr. Doyle
had been in failing health for the
past year. The sisters, Mieese Ol-
lie and Nettie, and brother, L. H.
Doyle of Tigoa, and many other
relatives have this community’s
deepest sympathy.
Mrs. Maris Messina and two
small daughters of Dallas visited
Mrs. Messina’s parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank O’Brien, Monday af-
ternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Granstaff
and children of Celina were Sun-
day dinner guests of the former’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Gran-
staff, and Pat.
Mrs. Herman Robinson and son,
George, visited their daughter and
sister, Retha, in Denton Sunday
night. She is attending college

Cottage Hill. The family has the
deepest sympathy of this com-
munity.

E. O. Shaw Dies
In Valliant, Okla.
Mrs. O. L. Hope received word
Thursday, Nov. 14, of the death
of her brother, E. O. Shaw of
Valliant, Okla. He passed away
in a Paris hospital afer a brief
illness.
Mr. Shaw was a native of Leon-
ard, but for a number of years
lived in Oklahoma being a retired
school superintendent.
Funeral services were held at
4 p.m. Friday in Valliant, with in-
terment in Henrietta, Okla.
Surviving are his wife; two
sons, Hayes Allen and Edwin
Shaw of Henrietta; five grand-
sons, two brothers, T. E. Shaw
of Electra and Dick Shaw of Den-
ison and three sisters, Mrs. Effie
Davis of Leonard; Mrs. Oma
Jones, Wichita Falls and Mrs.
Hope of this city.
