Rusk Junior High Seventh Grade Team
Rusk teams win first place
in Arp hoop tournament
The Rusk seventh and
eighth grade boys' basket-
ball teams won first place in
each division entered in the
recent Arp tournament.
The Rusk seventh graders
defeated Arp. 16-11. Scorers
includedNicky Cleveland 1,
Cody Lawson 2, Neal Castor
2, Terrence Turner 1 and
John Carroll 2.
The squad defeated Troup
33-8. Scorers include Cleve-
land 5, Lawson 6, Castor 3,
Caleb Williams 1, Timmy
Harris 8, Cody Thompson
4, Carroll 4 and Quinn
Anthony 2.
The team is coached by
Cody Whitworth.
The eighth grade boys
also took first place. The
Rusk team defeated Arp,
54-30. Scorers included
J. J. Sessions 11, Haurice
Lewis 8, Chance Cleaver
3, Demarcus Skinner 24,
Bobby McDuff 8.
In the eighth grade
championship game. Rusk
downed West Rusk, 50-41.
Sessions had 12, Cleaver 3,
Lewis 17, Skinner 11 and
McDuff 7.
The team is coached by
Mark Sewell.
The teams play each
Thursday. They will host
Center at 5 p.m. Feb. 5.
