In dump case
The Austin County Grand Jury
did not indict a Sealy man on
charges relating to an alleged
illegal dump site near Sealy.
William Trey Carter III, 40.
was arrested in June on a
state jail felony warrant alleg-
ing various environmental
problems. Carter, in response,
filed a formal complaint
against arresting officer,
Austin County Deputy Stacy
Marling Baggerly in July. Dis-
trict Attorney Daniel Leady
was in court and not available

ment has a new truck thanks to the
fire fighting it did more than 20 years
Blanch Koy, who died over a year
ago, was so grateful to the fire depart-
ment for saving her house from fire in
the early 1970s that she bequeathed
$25,000 to the department.
