PROTECTION OF GRAIN
Several farmers protected
themselves against loss to their
growing grain by hail with a hail
policy and many others wish
they had taken the protection of-
fered them, but waited too late.
Corn, cotton, cane, maize, etc.,
can be protected the same as small
grain by a hail policy.
I now offer you protection
against fire on your grain while
standing in the field uncut, cut,
shocked, stacked, sacked or stored
in your granary anywhere on
your farm, one policy covering
in all these conditions.
Also tornado protection after
grain is in granary or barn. The
rates are very reasonable on this
class of insurance.
I am also prepared to take
care of your insurance needs in
all respects, whether in city or
cases of profiteering tend . to
create suspicion of ali prices
•and this creates a nervous con-
dition that injures everybody
without helping anyone. If the
merchants would meet and de-
vise methods by which there may
be the fullest co-operation be-
tween the authorities and those
who are not profiteering, not
only would profiteering be pre-
vented, but a .different feeling
would be created. Confidence
in legitimate prices, even though
they be high, would be estab-
lished and that is very much to

The average wholesaler and re-
tailer is just as perplexed over
the problem as the average con-
sumer, but while the situation is
acute co-operation might .bring
about more relief than would be
possible otherwise. The thing
that it ought to be possible to
accomplish is to establish pub-
lic confidence in whatever prices
it is necessary to maintain.
