From Building Houses To Shearing Sheep
LeTourneau GMC welding car assembles LeTourneau house on LeTourneau Farm. Walls,
partitions, floor, ceiling built up from panels at factory, welded together on homesite. This is the
first house assembled outside the plant.
Houses are located in the factory yard, used mostly as offices. Another is in LeTourneau
Court, just across Grant Street.
The versatile welding car has a new function to perform today. It is furnishing power to
operate a sheep shearing machine which is mowing J. W. LeTourneau's 36 sheep.Published for everybody connected with R. G. LeTourneau, Inc.
