Wednesday.
J. M. Landrum, in charge of the boat, and Clyde Gladden,
pilot, were burned slightly while getting life preservers be-
fore jumping into Lake Worth.
The boat was on a stump-pulling cruise and was return-
ing near Goat Island when the fire broke out. The Alvez
drilled aground and completely burned about 500 yrds

D. Rockefeller Jr., persuaded
Col. Robert W. Stewart of the
Standard Oil Company of In-
diana to return from Cuba to
appear before ‘the Senate Teapot
Dome Committee and is now
"sorry” that Stewart did not an-
swer’ all the questions of the
committee.
These facts were developed to-
day when Senator Walsh of Mon-
tana made'public a series of let-
ters and telegrams he had ex-
changed with Rockefeller.
The correspondent disclosed
that Rockefeller, who owns most
of the Indiana company of which
Stewart is chairman of the board,
directed Stewart to tell all he
knew about the mysterious deal
of oilomen in 1921 by which a
$3,000,000 fund was secreted in
the Continental Trading Company
of Canada. ,
