The first sunrise grand Coun-
cil Fire ever held In Fort Worth
by the Camp Fire Girls organiza-
tion will be held early in June,
according to announcement by
Mrs. Crittenden Joyes, executive
secretary, Thursday.
At the Council Fire. ranks of
honor will be conferred on the
Camp Fire Girls, with a large j
number receiving the rank of
. Torchbearer. the highest rank of
the organization. Mrs. Joyes will
. be in charge.
J. Lester Scott, New York City,
chief executive of the National
Camp Fire Girls, and Mise Edlty
Kempthorne, New York City, na-
tional field executive of the Camp
Fire Girls, will visit Fort Worth
the first of June, Mrs. Joyes .said.

Estimates Are Raised Since
December 1 Statement
By Untted Press.
WASHINGTON, April 11.—The
condition of winter wheat and
rye in grain producing states April
1 was far higher than a year ago,
the Agriculture Department an-
nounced yesterday.
The April 1 condition was 82.7
for winter wheat and 84.9 for rye,
compared with 88.3 and 79.3 re-
spectively a year ago and a. 10-
year Apti l average of 80.9 and
85.2.
. . The winter wheat condition De-
cember 1 was 84.4.
The condition of osts on April
1 was 81.2, compared with 71.4
last year and 82.7 two years agq.
Today's report Indicates a win-
ter wheat crop of 591,312,000
bshels this year against 568,000,-
000 Indicated December 1 and a
final 1928 crop of 678,964,000
bushels.
.A 1929 rya production of 44-
388,000 bushel* IS’indicated, com-
pared with a December 1 indica-
tion of 42,800,000 bushel and a
1928 production of 41,768,000
