Valley Mills This Week
Friday night was all the
time we had to enjoy our
“near" victory over Whitney.
We face the same situation
this Friday with Valley Mills.
Again the breaks will be the
For the good of our football
team, we could not have writ-
ten the script any better Friday
night except to have added 4
points to the Zebras final
score. We needed desperately
to deliver after our loss at
the hands of the Clifton Cubs.
This, the Zebras did in mag-
nificent style, although we
fell by the score of 15-12 to
the Whitney Wildcats. There
are many factors which left
us on foe short end of the
score. In otal penetrations for
foe contest Grandview had 4.
and Whitney only 2. Football
is at times a game of inches
and it was our misfortune to
be short at critical times. In
summary, perhaps, it could be
said we just did not get foe
breaks when we needed them
most.
As can be noted, we domi-
nated every department of the
game, except as in 3 of our
4 losses, the score.
