A Regular of the Board of Trustees of Ralls Indepen-
dent School District was held Thursday, March 22, 2018,
beginning at 7:30 PM in the Ralls LS.D. Administrative
Offices, 1082 4th Street, Ralls, Texas.
Campus Reports
A. Student and Staff Recognition
B. Ralls High School Principal, Miguel Salazar, re-
ported that the High School continues to stay busy during
this spring season! They have had many students involved
in many activities throughout this past month. Students were
recently recognized in the 4th 6-weeks assembly, participated
at the District UlL Meet, had students compete in the FCCLA
contest, the Regional Powerlifting Meet, and continue to
work with students as they compete in Tennis, FFA, Baseball,
Softball and Track. They are proud to announce that FCCLA
had 6 students qualify for the State FCCLA Meet that will be
held April 5-7, had 1 female powerlifter qualify for the Re-
gional Powerlfting Meet that was held in Monahans, 3 male
athletes that qualified for the Regional Powerlifting Meet that
was held in Sundown, and 3 students that have qualified to
the Regional UlL Meet that will be held on April 14th. Both
staff and students continue to prepare for upcoming tests in-
cluding TSI and STAAR tests, and preparations are already
being made for many upcoming events such as prom, end of
the year banquets and graduations!
C. Ralls Elementary School Principal, Chelsey Camp-
bell, reported that the Elementary is working hard through
the spring. We are impressed with the turn out to our Annual
PE program. Our students performed very well. We enjoyed
a week off for spring break and will now begin to prepare for
the upcoming STAAR tests in early April.

A. Superintendent reported on resignations of at-will
and contractual personnel

Braden Williams— MS History/Coach
B. The Board approved the contracts for District Teach-
ing/Counselor/Technology Staff. All recommendations were
approved.
New Business
A. Action Items:
1. The Board approved to extend the contract with SFE
(cafeteria/food management) for 1 calendar year. The Dis-
trict has been partnering with SFE for several years to help
give the best possible cafeteria experience we can to the stu-
dents.
2. The Board approved the District of Innovation Plan
as presented. A copy of the plan can be found on the District
website.
3. The Board approved the following waivers: -Modi-
fied Schedule/State Assessment Testing Days Waiver (3
Years) -Staff Development Minutes Waiver (2,100 Minutes)
These waivers will allow flexibility during STAAR test-
ing and allow us to conduct staff development for district
staff during the school year for 18-19.
4. The Board approved the Instructional Materials Al-
lotment and TEKS Certification, 2018-2019.
5. The Board approved policy update 110 (BBB LO-
CAL), addressing School Board Trustee elections.
Discussion Items:
1. A discussion was held concerning early release for
Middle School on April 3rd. MS students were released early
so they could participate in the District Track Meet.
2. A discussion was held concerning the Ralls ISD
School Calendar for 2018-2019. Mr. Wade led a discussion
with the Board about a possible calendar for next year. The
district is looking at starting school earlier in August this
year. The board will approve a district calendar for the 18-19
school year at the April meeting.
3. Mr. Wade discussed projected revenue for 17-18.

St. Michael's Catholic Church hosted Annual Senior Encildada Dinner
Huge thank you to the ladies at St. Michael's Catholic Church. They hosted the Ralls Senior class and their sponsors on Monday
night for the Annual Senior Enchilada Dinner. The food was delicious, as always, and everyone had a blast playing games.
