Rickard Willing to Stage
Bout, But Says Price

BY HENRY L. FARRELL.
United Proas Writer.
NEW YORK—Notice has been
served on Jaek Dempsey by the
Now York boxing commission that
Harry Wills would do battle with
him.
If Dempsey doesn't make some
kind of a reply within a reasonable
time, the commisston says it will
take steps to make him work.
Tex Rickard said he was willing
to stage the bout, but that he had
not recovered from the shock he
got when Jack Kearns told him he
would demand 3500,040 as his
end.
Wills. he indicated, has practi-
cally agreed on terms, and 'he
"doesn't want the moon."
If "Albanx" would permit. Riek-
ard would like, to build another
big wooden cancer some place
around New York and stage the
fight on this aide of the river. If
state officials object he would
stage the fight in Jersey City.
Rfekard whispers that Jess Wil-
lard is coming to New York soon
to talk over his chance of getting
another crack at Dempsey.
