MANY, MANY people were in downtown Elgin to celebrate the 26th annual Hogeye Festival and the weather was beau-
tiful all day long. Many said it was the most people they had ever seen at Hogeye! Way to go, Elgin!
KAY WING announced the past royalty using her copy of the Elgin Courier*. Every past
member of Hogeye royalty attending Saturday came up to wave to the crowd!

test started off at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The longhorn cow, however, wasn’t very cooperative

ation will be hosting an in-
formational meeting on
water issues and Proposi-
tion 6, the $2 billion water
bond measure on this
year’s ballot.

Pines Conservation Dis-

cats are undefeated at 6-0.
There are two other towns

teams, so this division will
be a battle all the way
through the playoff
bracket.

ior Varsity Purple team
ended their outstanding
regular season play with a
big win over Lexington,
26-7. The JV Purple Cats
will enter the Tri-County
playoffs in fourth place
with a regular season
record of 5-1.
