gram seeks to identify stu-
dents who are highly able
and advanced. They are
currently accepting nomi-
nations for the Gifted and
Talented Program. The first
nomination period runs
until November 15th and
the second nomination pe-
riod runs from November
18th through February 3rd.
Nominations for students
will be accepted once each
school year. Please review
the list below. If a child
does these things most or
all of the time, it would be
appropriate to nominate
the student for evaluation.
• Wants to know about
many things
• Asks “Why?” all the
time
• Is interested in things in
which other children
his/her age are not usually
interested
• Makes up games, songs,
or puzzles
• Learns new things very
quickly or easily
If you feel that a child
does these things, then
nominate him/her for the
program. Once nominated,
students will be assessed
