Our new pastor, Steve Ponder, began his ministry at Cedar Valley on June 28th. He has been a pastor for over 25 years and
served churches in Texas and Oklahoma. In 1998, he was recognized by the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism and
Church Growth of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as one of 100 senior pastors representing six denominations as “highly
effective leaders in the local church.” He is a published author with five books currently available on Amazon.com. Pastor Ponder,
who earned a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, loves to teach God’s Word and disciple
God’s people. He is looking forward to leading Cedar Valley Baptist Church towards having a greater impact for Christ in their
