The Eagles are ready to put last season
(1-9, 0-8) behind them and focus on improv-
ing the final record this year. Coach Jon Ed-
wards is back, along with defensive lineman
Randy Reyes, a three-year starter.
Cedar Creek will have a new arm at quar-

Coach Jason Cecil and the Cougars expect
to continue last season’s success this year,
just with a few new faces.
Bastrop
Last season was not good for the Bears,
who went from being playoff contenders the
year before to only winning one game.
Coach Todd Patmon faces quite a challenge
in trying to improve on that record, but will
have help from receiver Justin Terway and
running back Jhe’Quay Chretin on offense
and offensive lineman David Etherington and
cornerback Tyson Tarver to give the Bears
some claws.

tical 6-2 records for the second and third spots, and Hutto claim-
ing the final spot with a win over Rouse with identical 5-3 records.
It looks to be a similar finish again this season as all four teams
have reloaded with standout starters from last season, along with
some new players who will look to make their mark in a still-formi-
dable district.
