The Lady Homs started their
defense of the District 27-2 A title
with a 3-0 sweep of Louise last
Tuesday, Sept. 7.
The Lady Hornets reached
double digits in the second of the
three games while losing the first
set and third game by 18 and 19,
respectively. Game two ended up
25-14 as Schulenburg pulled away
after some early miscues.
Louise had trouble with the
strong serving of the Lady Homs’
squad, which totaled 25 aces. Ta-
mara Otto led Schulenburg with 11
while Kieryn Adams added seven.
Kill leaders for the Lady Horns
were Claire Antosh and Kloe
Kutac, each with five. Mackenzie
Kunschick and Jordan Sommer
followed with four apiece.
Schulenburg originally had a
match scheduled for Friday, Sept.
10 at home against Victoria East
but it was cancelled.
