Esso Extra is such a fine gasoline that it will out-perform many gaso-
lines selling for Ic to 2 c more—Esso Extra sells for premium—not super-
premium—price. ,
Esso Extra is the No. 1 premium in Texas . . . first in premium sales
because it's first in premium quality.
Use this great gasoline in your car. You’D prefer its performance, you’D
like its mileage, and most of all, you’ll be pleased with its economy.

Nov. 17, 1898 — There will be a
large shipment of cotton out of

Galveston. This shipment will go

The county commissioners met
yesterday morning in adjourned
session, and spent the day looking
over routine matters. The salary
of Burney Parker, guard at the
county farm, was fixed at $35 per
month. Justice J. J. McCain of
precinct 4 was granted a leave of
absence for ten days.
A sheet iron awning has been
put around Kibre building, which
is occupied by L Z. Harrison.
John King made complaint be-
fore Justice W. R. Ewing Wed-
nesday charging John Anderson
with theft. Kink alleges that $109
in money was stolen from him
and described part of it as being
two bills in the denomination of
$5 each.
There has been a reaction in the
cotton market and the receipts
Wednesday were quite heavy. The
higher prices came Tuesday but
the news did not reach the county
in time for the farmers to get to

Although 81,000 employes were

production workers returned to
work when the picket lines were

A company spokesman said full
production would be resumed im-

plants would be able to operate
temporarily without the office
workers, who were expected to
be back on the job by Tuesday
at the latest.

This superior gasoline stands out as the best
gasoline to use in any car in any price class. It is
the only gasoline that will give you all the per-
. formance you paid for when you bought your
modern car. It has highest octane rating; it elimi-
nates engine “bucking" as you start, engine
"rumble" as you drive, and engine knock as you
accelerate. A must for cars with air-conditioning,
power brakes and power steering. It's the gasoline
for the 1959 models.
