nesota’s eleetorste will nominate
party candidates for congressional
and state offices in the state-wide
primary election. June 11, after one
of the mildest campaigns In recent
veers
k While Interest In ths primary was
Taterially lessened by the workings
of the new psrty convention law,' un-
der which state conventions of esch
of ths major parties endorsed can-
didates tor-the various offices, sub-
ject to ths primary, yet ths appear-
snes of a number of women's names
on the ballot Is caused much specu-
lation as to the result.
Candidates endorsed by the psrty
conventions go on the primary ballot
with this fact stated after their
names, while others filing for ths
same offices sre entered ns "inds-
pendent" candidates for the nomina-
tions they seek.
Three parties have filed candidates
for the primary: republican, demo-
emtic and farmer-labor, the last
named including factions silled with
the national nonpsrtlssn league, which
in previous campaigns has sought to
acapture the republican nominations. '
While in some cases independents
have filed for nominations in oppo-
sition to convention-endorsed candi-
dstes. only on one office—the United
States senstorlal democratic nomina-
tion—is a close fight looked for gen-

Wichita Falls people may well ask how we can afford to make this re-
markable "Satisfaction or Stoney Back" offer. Medical examinations by
physicians all ovee ths country show that an amaaing number of people
lack 100% iron In their blood. At s recent conterence. Dr. James Francis
Sullivan, formerly physician of Bellsvus Hospital (Out Door Department.
New York, and ths Westchester County Hospital, said, ''Without Iron, ths
blood becomes weak, thin, pale and watery. In many people this so
seriously weakens their vital organs ss to lead them to believe thst they
have heart or stomach trouble, kidney disease, nerve force exhaustion or
some other serious ailment. I have had people come to me thinking they
had heart trouble, because they often had pains and palpitation of the
heart, sudden dixziness, faintness or spots before the eyn. In a great
many of these cases, the moment iron was supplied, all of these symptoms
disappeared." We make this offer because Genuine Nuxated Iron con-
talna true organic iron like the Iron in your blood. Ho many people are
deficient in iron who would surely be benefited by this remarkable rem-
edy. that «• recommend that you come right to Smith Drug store and
get your bottie of Nuxated Iron. Use it for two weeks, and note the Im-

The ideal age for a heroine of mov-
ing picture romance or of love stories
generally la today 28 years, an age
that only a few days ago waa re-
garded by the general public aa fil-
ing a woman definitely in the ranks
of confirmed spinterhood. This is the
conclusion made from a careful study
of the 17,000 love ntorles which the
lay public, amateurs from all walks of
life, wrote for the scenarlo contest
recently conducted by the Chicago
Daily News. Representing not what
ecenarlo and magazine editors er
writers guess the publie’s choice to
be, these manuscripts were firsthand
information on the actual tastes of
the people who buy books and who at-
tend moving picture exhibitions.
"Striking unity among the na-
tionally scattered contestants upon
the subject of the heroine's age is
among the first things to bs noted
by ths judges," said James Shryock,
director of ths contest, today, an-
nouncing ths facts as brought out by
the competition. "It is too general
to be accidental snd represents nn-
doubtedly, a country-wide ehangs tn
ideals.
"Few of the heroines are in their
'teens, only a handful, are in their
early twenties, the great majority are
around 17 and 21, the authors neem-
ing to regard this age as woman’s
boat and woman as more beautiful in-
telligent, poised and attractive there
than previously. Ths Jsdgss declared
that ths sge of ths ideal heroins had
been advancing steadily sines ths
