COUNTY OF TRAVIS I This Mechanic's Lien Contract is made between J. L. Bennett as con-
tractor, and Frank Varnado and wife, Lexie Varnado, as owners, all of Travis County, Texas
and is as follows:
COUNTY OF TRAVIS } Before me, Nell Haberlin, a Notary Public in and for Travis County,
Texas, on this day personally appeared Chas. A, McCormick known to me to be the person whose
same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed; and also before me on this day
personally appeared Bernice McCormick, wife of Chas A. McCormick known to me to be the per-
son whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument, and having been examined by me
privily and apart from her husband, and having the same fully explained to her, she, the
said Bernice McCormick, acknowledged such instrument to be her act and deed, and declared
that she had willingly signed the same for the purposes and consideration therein expressed
and that she did not wish to retract it.

ments and real property, constituting one body of land and intended to be used and enjoyed
in connection with said improvements, to secure the payment of said promissory note and all
other sums of money which may become due and payable under this contract.
