"Greater Strength fer Greater As-
complishment," is the slogan under
which Hanson Post of the American
Legion Auxiliary will begin its en-
rollment "of 1831 members Tuesday.
Rezenrollment of all 1980 members
and the addition of many new mem-
bers to the unit is the goal exported
to be reached by Armistice Day, No-
vember 11, according to Mrs. Ida Bell
Rarend, unit membership chairman.
The efforts sf ths local unit will be
a pert sf a nation-wide endeavor to
strengthen the auxiliary for 1931,
during the week of November 4 to 11.
The American Legion Auxiliary is
already the largest women’s patriotic
organization in the world snd has
been making rapid increases in mem-
bership for several years, Mrs
Barend pointed out. This year a gala
of approximately 40,000 members has
been made bringing the total mem-
bership nearly to the 400,000 mark.
The ability of the auxiliary to ac-
complish its work for the wfare of
the disabled World War veterans and
their dependents and to give patriotic
service to the country is dependent
upon membership strength, Mrs
Barend said.
The principal efforts during the
week of November 4 to 11 will be
centered on completing the re-enroll-
ment of nil old members of ths unit
for the new yesr.
