hold attended the commencement of
■ the Wichita high school on Saturday
eight, and by their presence did hon-
er and showed ther kindly interest
in the graduates of the class of ’07.
A brighter and fairer company of
boys and girls never graduated from
our school than those who had such
an auspicious commencement in Wich-
fta^,.Saturday night. The exercises
throughout were of a high order and
reflected credit not only upon the

and Three Against.
I The local option election in the Gil-
bert school district last Saturday
passed off very quietly. The vote
was exceptionally light and the polls
(coked as deserted as a soda fountain
io December.
Only ten votes were east during
the entire day. Of these, seven count-
ed for prohibition and three were anti.
There are no saloons In the Gilbert
district and the purpose of the elec-
tion was to keep them out of the new
